Putting Soul in Trauma

This article makes the argument that clinical psychologists avoid soul in treatment approaches. I wholeheartedly concur. She then explores Catholic interpretations of soul. Perhaps it was word count constraints but I felt this section was a little light. Nonetheless, it supports the overall thesis. The author then somewhat confusingly veers into an expository on brainspotting, a clinical and neurological approach unconnected to lack of soul in therapeutic settings. Perhaps she meant to tie to the soul’s location in the brain. If so the link is tenuous.

Still an article worth reading.
